About us

The Good Earth Trust was formally registered as a charity on 16 January 2007. The Trust was founded by Jim Cogan OBE and its first trustees were David Drew, James Flecker, Nathalie Koerfer, Russell Matham and Lavinia Thomas and its first coordinator was Sam Gordon. Jim recognized that many appropriate technologies have been developed, but they have not been adopted on a large enough scale to benefit the people who need them. Jim Cogan died in 2007 - read his obituary.

Good Earth people:

We have a small but committed team based in central London and work closely with our teams in Uganda. We are currently setting up new offices in Kenya and Tanzania.

We have developed and extended our board, which has trustees with a diverse range of skills and experience,
We very grateful to our Partners and Supporters.
